On The Road - Back Home

It is rather nice to safely return home after a meager thousand or so miles on the road during the winter holiday season (meager compared to some trips people had to make). Fortunately the storms weren't too severe and the traffic, though heavy at times, kept moving.
The times to visit with family are too short and don't occur often enough. But...I feel quite lucky to have a family that actually still likes to get together and looks forward to it!
We got out for dinner New Year's Eve, but decided to head on back home before midnight. Ann needed to get back on the road for northern VA bright and early--so the Oranges got crated and they were sent off an hour or so ago.
It's almost too quiet around here now. I guess that means I need to get to some tasks around the house, inside and out, that have been neglected too long.

Date: 2007-01-01 06:16 pm (UTC)Now that I'm just starting to have energy again, I got to thinking about going dancing sometime. Funny that when I think of going dancing, you are the happiest memory I have of then. Maybe not so funny, you are sweet and that's rare. Oh well, I'm starting to get truly better; as in the reasons I had started using are finally being treated, yay for addressing causes; my point is, I'm going to start being able to get back to some normalishness and dancing will be high on my list. I can't help that I will forever glance to the balcony....
