Actually one of the first times I came across that term was watching Star Blazers many many many years ago. I taped almost every one of those episodes off the air. Yah...that VHS stuff....tape.
Captain Avatar...funny...something was strangely engaging about that anime.
At the time...I didn't even know it was...anime.
Maybe it was being just bored with...domestic animation at the time. But...I made sure I got home from work in time to catch the next episode...ah...those were the days.

STP update - Living in Flatlandia
Apr. 19th, 2009 06:00 pm'Cycling in the Shenandoah is sure a heck of a lot different than cycling back home. 500 foot climbs might not be too bad over the course of a mile or 2 or 3...or 4...but those kind of altitude changes just don't happen back *this* way at *any* distance. Komatta!!
Back in FlatLand, today's ride was roughly 70 miles in almost 5 hours...'still way behind on total milage.
Time to check the actual route back on the Left Coast.

"Give them a thousand of these nights, or five thousand, drenched in long shadows and half-light. Not even April yet, the whole of spring and summer still ahead."

front of a CRT. Well...it *has* been quite a while since I've actually worked on a CRT...so life has been mostly in front of flat panels...for many days of the week...for many hours of the day...at work and at home...
Life away from the flat panel has been an ALmost finished single speed/fixie bike and a in-line skate race in 2 weeks that I have not had *any* time to train for...see above...oh and the weather. Bleh...
Katsu was fun...did I already say that?

An Oregon Distance Tax???
Jan. 3rd, 2009 10:37 amIt looks like Oregonians are being TOO good about driving fuel efficient vehicles. Oregon wants to start taxing people by the miles they drive instead of the gas they consume to make up for lost gas tax dollars. Interesting...
