Chilly today

Or at least it seems that way. I've had to have the thermostat set rather high to begin to feel even the slightest bit warm. And this is back in Virginia!

At least the return to DC last night went well. Despite having a bit longer time than expected for the departing flight from Portland, getting a call from Bernice while I was having to wait was nice. It helped distract from the airport tedium and the conversations are always interesting.

The second flight from MSP had a strange beginning that I may mention later. I'm not sure how to describe it at the moment--mostly a people thing.

Both bags showed up at their intended destination and I had some friends waiting there to give me a lift to the condo. My usual bout with jet-lag actually allowed me to sleep in some this morning or at least later than *usual*, which in this case 5am Portland was 8am east coast time. ^_^

It was rather difficult getting energy to get much more than breakfast, the morning paper and some laundry done before I ended up falling back asleep for a few hours. Now that was strange. Ahwell...

The rest of the day has been spent trying to wake back up enough to meet Ann for dinner after she flies back in from her weekend trip to Connecticut. It's not going to be any time soon for getting here since between the time it takes to disembark, ride the shuttle to the remotest, cheapest parking lot, and drive back from the Dulles airport, it will be another hour before she shows up.

Tomorrow will be driving down to the house for the last leg of the trip.
