It was absolutely beautiful weather in town yesterday--high 70's, cool dry breeze, nary a cloud in the sky--as opposed to the snowstorm I'm currently missing back home. Fortunately it wasn't too bad in Virginia.
A sizable group managed to gather at the Olive Garden Thursday--let's see if I can even come close to listing..hmm...Bernice & Jen, Becky & Monica, Linda T., Jennifer S., Donna R., Stephanie-Ann, Jennifer...I think that was everyone. I'm absolutely terrible with names.
Amy & I got up to the 5th Ave. ArtFest yesterday (Saturday). The music, crafts, art and photography were very good. I picked up one or two things in a few of the shops. We dropped in on Purrsuasions, a shop filled to the whiskers with cat stuff. Ms. Kitty, a beautiful long-hair and boss, wasn't in residence though. < sigh >
Bernice and Jen were all packed up ready for their flight back to CA, but took a few minutes to meet us for lunch. It's always stimulating around those two--thoughts of life, the universe and everything abound.
On the way back to the hotel Amy helped me find some head cover to ward off some of the sun--We ended up at a hat shop right on N. Scottsdale and I walked out with a black beret. Imagine that. ^_^
For dinner last night we originally thought we would go to Oregano's, but the wait was over an hour so we walked across the street to Ra. It was a nice enough meal except for forgetting...again...how noisy it gets in there. < double sigh >
Early mornings have been rather brisk, which actually is quite refreshing for working out. On the morning jogs, it usually isn't too noticeable except for how frozen the hands get. Today was just a brisk walk up to the Starbucks for some coffee and a Sunday paper. I've at least managed for a run every day but 3 so far. The day before, when I decided to jog through Old Town, I caught a curb edge and managed to twist an ankle almost all the way over. I'm amazed it hasn't given me more trouble. But...it's going to be hard to keep up with Trish at this rate. ;D
Along a totally tangential line, last year I received a birthday present from a friend--two black diamond-shape earrings. So I'm contemplating a shift to
blackdiamonds, though
lovelyangelpdx expressed skepticism at my ability to keep two blogs as I have trouble enough with one. < double deep sigh >
