Life's flat sides...
Nov. 24th, 2003 04:44 pmThis morning I was greeted with a minor problem... sukoshi dake... the left rear tire was flat...I know I know...it was only flat on the bottom...but it was flat enough that I had to put on the temporary tire and limp to a local tire place to get some new treads. I had been wanting to get a new set anyway, the current set had about 65,000 miles on them (not toooo shabby for 65,000 mile rated tires I suppose) I just hadn't anticipating being forced first thing Monday morning to get the new set!
The shop opened up around 7:30; I arrive about quarter to 8; and was informed for the tires I wanted it would be ready about lunch time. deeep sigh 3 or so hours later and $400 poorer (4 YOKOHAMA AS430's) I am finally back out on the road. The day is half gone, so I head back home and try to get some more work done from there.
