Katsucon - Day 2
Sorry about that. The flight up to CT Saturday afternoon cut short my time at Katsucon this year, but since it was to go see a nephew perform the lead as Ren in the show Footloose, it was more than worth the trip.
Back in DC, one highlight Saturday morning at the con, as I was wandering through Artist Alley, was finding Hawk pretty much by himself and having a great chat about work (his actual day job that pays the bills), Applegeek's stories and history and about various cons. I have to remember to bring my Miho poster with me next time and get an autograph from the person who colored it. ^_^
I also got to meet an artist from Seattle...I think she mentioned she actually is the coordinator of the Artist Alley at this year's Sakuracon as well. I'll have to dig through my stack of collected cards for a name. < sigh >
The dealer's room didn't open until around 10 and the line was pretty long and slow getting in there so I let it go this time. I managed to get credit for 21 hours of volunteer time so I'm automatically pre-registered and paid for Katsucon 14 next year. Time to mark the calendar!
