Katsucon 14
Hmm...at least I think it's Katsu *14* this year. I'm actually on staff this year, so it will be interesting to see how different things are or are not...compared to last year as a gopher.
The DC area saw quite a bit of ice yesterday, but the highs in the 40's for the next few days should clear out most of the issues from before...except for all the tree debris...and power lines down. So hopefully that hasn't dampened things too much for the weekend.
ANYway, with the con starting on Friday, Thursday day and night will be spent setting up the main events hall. The logistics at Katsu are thankfully a lot better than how things were at the previous con at the previous hotel. That place was just not set up at all for off-loading gear at the dock and easily moving it to the main hall. This place? Well...it's going to be 4 looong days...and nights...
Let's see if I don't end up resurfacing until some time Monday. ~_~;;
